Bill Mazeroski played his entire baseball career with the Pittsburgh Pirates and was one of the greatest defensive second basemen of all time. The Maz, as everyone called him, played his first game with the Bucs in July of 1956, and though he won eight Gold Glove Awards in his career, it was one mighty swing of the bat that made him famous, the game seven, series winning, bottom-of-the-ninth home run in the miraculous 1960 Pirates-Yankees World Series.
